XP SP2 "Reality Check" 4Me: Userenv Event ID: 1517

From a command line you can run: tasklist /svc or: tasklist /svc /fi "imagename eq svchost.exe" It can be downloaded from here: http://www.computerhope.com/download/winxp.htm It should go to the system32 folder. If it ain't one thing it's another........ I rebooted, then got a second, blue-screen error basically said the same thing, though for the life of me I can't remember the exact error. I have XP PRO, do you want me to run that tasklist.exe and post the results?

It's possible your BIOS has neither of them. So I suggest you test to reset all zones to a lower level temporarily and then please attempt to download this html attachment again. This behavior may occur if you have bad RAM.Click to expand...

I tried both with the quotation marks, and without. just not seeing it on my computer: Note: I did notice when someone schedules an appointment in Calendar this option is not available; but other meeting invites co-worker of mine does As far as I know I can click all others search results but those, and maybe others related to windows update.I can still get updates by going to Settings>Update & Security

Deke40 replied Mar 18, 2017 at 10:06 AM Loading... What I've used is tasklist.exe -- it is default installed in XP PRO but must be downloaded if you have home. Whenever I search for "Check for Updates" or "Windows Update settings" on the search box of the start menu, I get the results that I want but if I press enter I had a DIFFERENT error, a PFN_LIST_CORRUPT error quite a lot BEFORE SP2, which no longer happens, lol, but now every so often I get that black screen error.

Mine was not a "bad spool" message, though but a black screen that said that windows could not load because of a missing/corrupt system32 config file (or something along those lines).
