Can anyone help? No worries about the delay. That's why I suggested he try the /p option to see if it still locks up. When I came back, there was no Backup in progress, and the computer had not gone into hibernation as I had set it to do.
I was thinking a new cpu or format the whole damn thing and restart. Could you also give us your full system specs as well. There came a point when I finally had to give up on my old system, may it R.I.Pieces. Surely a few added files wouldn't be much more than 1 or 2 GBs?

I was surprised that it did so without displaying a message. He already tried the /r option but it locks up. It hooks to the laptop drive and then to the cable for your slave drive in a desktop. This morning when I saw it had auto-hibernated, I thought "whoopie-doo! - it's done the job without a crash!" O sad delusion.
