I installed just as you said. I needed to replace the one that crashed a couple of weeks ago, but I thought it would be too hard a job until I found your site. At this point you can burn the ISO image to a CD, and then start your XP installation process. It takes less than a minute and is completely free!

For a couple of reasons, I have decided to mount the drive inside my PC. Now I want to remove this and install Ubuntu. i have windows xp so it is not showing up on my computer. The second one was for storage. I don't have a Fujitsu boot disk and I have spent a month on and off trying to make a Boot disk to recover.

Finding Drivers for XP The best place to search for drivers for your hardware is at the manufacturer's supportwebsite. With the last one other posts have suggested going to the IDE and they found that "Device type" was on "None", and switching it to "Auto" did the trick.
while windows xp runs on the original drive? I did not install the belwo mentioned system… I have three HD's installed currently two 20GB and a 10 GB. No success. Thanks a bunch David, I was really in a pickle.
Reply Ron. Good luck with your installation, and be sure to leave any support questions on the forum. Nothing to be lost.....& perhaps some gigs to be gained! I have a dell and it was givng me a message that there was no boot drive installed, repeatedly for months.
