part of installation on windows xp home setup comes to a point where the little working animation in the corner continues but nothing happens. only problem is that the install then hung again at 2 minutes. Q.2 When I boot to a floppy as explained above the only commands available are those in the floppy in drive A:, winnt.exe is not available anywhere. Regedit.exe does not work. X exits the tests and restarts the computer, but you have to remove the floppy or CD quite quickly. Repartitioning is quite easy, and if you just tried to a install the ubuntu and let the partitioning GUI that is part of the installation see if it will let you

From all this I believe that the only fully working partition is C:\WINDOWS not D:\WINDOWS nor D:\WINDOWS1 In answer to your questions: 1. only thing it probably gonna cost me so i just want to save that.
