I don't remember exactly what I did to fix it, but I believe I just changed the resolution, opened/maximized/closed Word, then change the resolution back to your preferred setting, and then Because the window is maximized, I can't click and drag it up into the correct position. Instead, it leaves a one or two inch space at the top of the screen. If the problem persists, then try determining of there are any third-party applications or add-ins running with Word.
