I think its more likely to be hardware rather than software related. After a while of my laptop being on, my wireless network adapter will suddenly get "limited connectivity", and won't connect to the internet. We found that asking the system software not to power save the adapter cured the problem. Detach your Ethernet before booting Fatdog. Loading... They will now become ungrayed and uncheck turn on fast startup this should solve your issues. Check out the driver's download site and you'll probably find that they had no idea that Windows 10 existed.
Alternatively, I could try replacing the adapter; I assume it's integral to the motherboard but maybe I could open this thing up and try to find a spare PCI slot to There was a Windows update (KB3140741) around the time the adapter disappeared today, might be coincidence. Sometimes the adapter will just disappear from Device Manager. Additional batteries are affected. Glad you got it fixed, out of curiosity though does the adapter now show up under device manager? Hope this helps and let me know if this suggestion works for you.
