I became tired of this and closed Windows Update. Alan not quite computer literate!! All rights reserved. I will not try to upgrade to Windows 7 or 10.

As you know Vista will no longer be supported after April of 2017. Does that help? You can easily find suppliers of "codec" packs for W7 by searching the web for "w7 codecs". Ask the experts!
