I just get that "some settings are managed by your system administrator" message. I have since confirmed that on all W10 machines which have been updated in the past 2 months, the options described above are no longer available. What do you call the entity seeking to be authenticated? Can you share the steps to finding it? this contact form

i am using win8.1and i stopped my aut.updates with a command in cmd and now i cannot undo that,on screen shows me that some settings are managed by sys admin,and i Now click on "Check for updates" button to force Windows 10 to apply your changes. It'll work. If you give users local admin access, they can do whatever they want regardless of your group policies.

it seems the problem is because there are linked - updating one automatically updates the other.
