I also live in Oklahoma, just like Helen and i have been fighting with this problem since the beginning of April. It came up after I unchecked WMP in add/remove 3rd column down on left side.Beeen USING A WIRELESS MOUSE for over a year, works good, so don't know why it would I don't think its something to do with wmp itself as it also happens with any media player I use. WMP is still open.
