it shows the icons as grayed out and keeps ringing even after my contact has answered the call.... It does not say anything about the webcam resolution. When I try to take video with it, only a white screen shows up and nothing records. Just click the button below to get help.

If the webcam works fine with other software, try uninstalling yahoo messenger and then reinstalling it. @Brittany - Same thing, if your webcam works downstairs, it will work upstairs.   1. I've rebooted the computer, restarted Yahoo, unplugged the camera and replugged it in and so far no luck on Yahoo IM.
  2. In any case try running "sfc /scannow" in a command prompt to check and correct Windows system files.
  3. On AIM and MSN, it works, so I don't get why it shouldn't on Yahoo.

  10. Start with the latest version and if that does not help try an older version of AIM. - in some cases uninstalling and reinstalling (the latest) drivers for your webcam can
