Still not quite sure why it "forgot" them after a routine Windows update although I could ping them via their IP addresses, etc. Hope it helps others who want to share between Windows 10 and Windows XP.

I am attempting to "see" shared folders on this machine, from a Win7 machine. I clicked on the event and at the bottom of the page added the IP address of the remote PC to the trusted list.
