Making your own Chinese Tea

  A webquest for high school student to be taken as part of cultural appreciation class. This quest will help the learners to understand the eastern tea culture - its history, basic types of tea, and how to perform a tea ceremony.

   The art of tea - Chinese has been drinking tea for thousands of years. In ancient China, tea drinking was popular from the emperor down to among the slaves. Chinese like to drink tea. Just as coffee in the West, tea became a part of daily life in China. People from northern China like to add cream to tea, people from western China like to add oil to their tea, and people from the south drink a salty tea. Tea can be used as a drink, as herbal medicine, or for cooking.

   You now are going to learn and demonstrate your knowledge by hositng a tea ceremony, and you have 3 weeks to complete this lesson.
