Security and Passwords

Any student who uses the computers in any of the computer labs or the presentation setups in class must have a network login. This login also gives the student access to their private folder on the server (Mydrive on Dudley). Here they can store files that are accessible from any campus lab, library or classroom computer (but not from home).

These logins are setup automatically based on course registration. The syntax for logging into the campus network is firstname+lastname (lowercase, no spaces).

The default password is the last 4 digits of your Social Security number. Students should login into the network within the first two weeks of a semester in order to fix any potential login problems. The first time that you log onto the network you will be prompted to change your password.
