Accessing Library Resources RemotelyAs a student at Immaculata you are given access to the library's online journals and databases. To access the library resources from home:
Note: Once you have logged into one database, you have access to the other databases. If you would like to know more about the types of databases on the Library Resource Website, please contact the Gabriele Library at 610-647-4400 ext. 3829 Library DatabasesThe library provides a number of electronic databases to use for research. The databases give students access to hundreds of full-text journals and thousands of article abstracts from other journals covering a wide range of subjects. The databases are available to students both on and off campus. To use the databases from off campu,s all you need is your Immaculata University login and password. Webographies are lists of Internet resources that have been arranged by subject. They include everything from professional organization websites, online journals, maps, to sites established by the United State government and colleges and universities. They are good places to find current information, statistics, and hard to find information. Check them out. If you find a broken link or there is a site you have found particularly useful that should be added to the webographies, please let the reference staff know. E-mail Accounts and Receiving Articles by EmailAll students, upon registering, are issued an e-mail account (same login as noted in the library instructions). You can have articles that are not available online in full text e-mailed to this account. To do this, on the Library page, click "Policies & Services" and "Interlibrary Loan", then select journal article and type in your request. (You might want to forward this e-mail account to the one you use on a regular basis.) If you need additional assistance with accessing your Immaculata email visit the Office of Technology Service online help. |
