In support of the Immaculata community, the library maintains extended hours.
Collections - The book collection at Gabriele Library is growing, and consists, at present, of more than 134,000 books. The library collects materials based on the college curriculum; therefore the strengths of the collection are education, psychology, nutrition, and music therapy. Purchasing decisions are made by both library faculty and teaching faculty. The library also has available 1,500 audiovisual items, 1,300 microform items, and 755 + journals. The microfilm collection includes several journals and newspapers, including the New York Times and U.S. News & World Report from 1966 to 2001.
Computers - Computer/AV Lab in Gabriele Library are restricted to currently enrolled students. Registered students are welcome to use the computers during normal Library Hours.
Archives - Visit the Heritage Room on the second floor of Gabriele Library to get in touch with the spirit and history of the University. Do research on such topics as the Bicentennial celebration, the sports scene across the years, pictorial collections of college-related topics, and much more. Examine the complete microfilm collection of the university newspaper from its beginning and of news clippings on Immaculata University since 1941. See the spirit of the University stand before you. Although archived material cannot be checked out of the library, the archives are open by appointment. Contact Sister Marita David Kirsch, the Archivist, x3828, to schedule your visit.
