Welcome all new Sociology Majors !!!

This is your personal CD ROM to use to familiarize yourself with Department policies, to obtain (download) some necessary forms (Course Sequence Sheets or Field Contract Forms [links can be found on the right-hand side of this screen]) to have at your fingertips as well as access to Department Faculty information, List of Field Sites for Social Work/ Criminology majors, and a list of local graduate schools and career resource guides.

It is hoped that this CD ROM will help you ease your way through your next few years at Immaculata University as one of three Sociology majors:

• Sociology
• Sociology with a concentration in Social Work
• Criminology-Sociology

Please note that there are sections of this CD ROM than can help guide you, such as the section on Department Policies. Here, you can learn which options you have with distribution requirements or how to obtain an independent study, what to do if interested in taking summer courses, or what is expected of you in Sociology classes, where to go if you need assistance. There is also a section on Advisement that can facilitate your advisement process with your Faculty Advisor with whom you meet twice a year.

As Department Chair, I wish to extend an invitation to each of you to become involved, visit Mr. Hartleroad and myself or any of our Department’s Adjunct faculty. As we come to know you, we can plan for your needs better and make your educational experience here as fruitful and successful as possible.
