Despite the advances over the years, vision correction technology still has risks and potential pitfalls associated with it. While the statistics show that the outcome for most patients is overwhelmingly positive, the reality still remains that for some, the once eagerly anticipated procedure ends with problems that leave the quality of life worse than before. For these select few, this unfortunate outcome can be devastating.

I don't want to do anything crazy. I am not a real risk taker. I don't skydive or bungee jump. Is LASIK to risky. Lets say I get the surgery and the worst happens…my vision is permanently scarred. Then what? Do I have any options at that point. What are your suggestions. Does the potential end justify the means?
