Refresh the view by using the refresh task. I can see the drive, and it says working properly, but there's no way for me to open it, it seems thus far. Instructions and screenshots are great. Thanks for taking time to post and help others to solve this kind of issues,I have the same problem here.

  • The command looks like as follows: chkdsk D: /f /r /x Substitute D for wherever your Non-Readable drive letter is.

I have access to 2 laptops and an old pc and the problem is with the old PC.

ITS A VERBATIM 500GB EXTERNAL DRIVE.
