Welcome to the Big League: Instructional Design in Business and Industry

This website is designed to assist new instructional designers working within business and industry. We used a baseball metaphor throughout the site to illustrate how ball players (or designers) need to develop key skills and competencies in order to become successful instructional designers. This site covers specific areas that influence instructional design and offers resources for various topics. The parallels between baseball and instructional technology are numerous in the choices and decisions that both instructional designers and baseball players must make throughout a project or game.
